The grant at a glance
The basis is the “Förderung unternehmerischen Know-hows” programme run by BAFA, Germany's Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control. It subsidises consulting fees up to an assessment base of EUR 3,500 (net).

Does our company qualify?
The test is straightforward: a registered office or permanent establishment in Germany, fewer than 250 employees, and under EUR 50m annual revenue. German subsidiaries of international groups qualify if the German entity meets those criteria. We confirm it on a 15-minute call before anything is filed.
What does the funded round mean in practice?
You get your eligibility confirmed now and hold a place on the list. We prepare your application and file it when the next funded round opens, then the consulting starts once BAFA has approved it. Holding a place costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
What happens if the grant is not approved?
Then you do not start and you owe nothing. The consulting only begins after approval, which is the same rule that protects the grant itself: start early and the funding is lost.
What exactly do we pay?
Our fee is a fixed EUR 3,500 net, which is also the assessment base for the grant. BAFA reimburses EUR 2,800 or EUR 1,750 depending on where your company is based, so your net cost is EUR 700 or EUR 1,750. VAT applies to the full amount and is not part of the grant.
Is this a sales route into an implementation project?
No. The deliverable is strategy and roadmap, and it is deliberately separate from implementation. The roadmap is yours to execute with us, with another partner, or in house. Some companies start an implementation project afterwards because it is finally clear what pays off; that is a separate decision and a separate quote.
